Four-Day Itinerary

DAY ONE

Experience the sensation of “free-falling” at iFly Indoor Skydiving
Start your Tualatin Valley adventure at iFly Indoor Skydiving. Experience the sensation of free-falling with an indoor skydiving session. iFly features a vertical wind tunnel that generates a “cushion of air,” allowing adventurers to safely float, while enjoying an adrenaline rush. The entire experience—including all flight gear and training session—lasts approximately one to two hours (two-minute flight time). No experience is needed, and all abilities are welcome.

Lunch at Thirsty Lion Pub & Grill
Next, enjoy lunch at the Thirsty Lion Pub & Grill in Tigard. This popular local spot, which offers a variety of dishes made with local, fresh ingredients, as well as 52 beers on tap. Thirsty Lion’s first location is in downtown Portland, and the Tigard location was its second. Today, Thirsty Lion has expanded to three other states: Arizona, Colorado and Texas.

Go Beer Tasting in Hillsboro
Sample the tastes of Tualatin Valley at Hillsboro’s premier breweries.
Set in an industrial area close to the hotel, choose to visit one or both of the following breweries:

Vertigo Brewing Company: Vertigo Brewing operates a seven-barrel system that produces a unique blend of beer offerings. In the taproom, enjoy a variety of beer styles, from the light Razz Wheat to a hoppy IPA.
Three Mugs Brewing: Three Mugs Brewing Company has 20 taps, including the brewery’s own beers and guest taps. Gluten free drinkers can enjoy 3-5 cider options, as well. Enjoy your brew in whatever size you see fit: a real pint, 18 oz glass, 12 oz mug, taster tray or a growler to go.
Ambacht Brewing: Ambacht Ales are unique, even here in the Pacific Northwest where brewing is an art. Ambacht ales are made using local, organically grown ingredients. Time is of the essence here, as it takes about three months from brew day until their ales are ready for you to enjoy!

Have dinner at Copper River Restaurant
Copper River Restaurant, a locally owned restaurant, featuring a vast menu chock-full of comfort foods, including burgers, pot pie, fried chicken and more. The restaurant also features 54 featured craft beers and a sophisticated selection of local wines, which pair well with the restaurant’s delicious dishes prepared from scratch recipes.

DAY TWO

Enjoy breakfast at La Provence & Petite Provence
La Provence offers a satisfying selection of French-inspired breakfasts, as well as a variety of breads, pastries and sweet treats.

Progressive Wine Tasting and Tour at Ponzi Vineyards Winery
Take part in a progressive wine tour and explore Ponzi’s state-of-the-art, gravity-flow winery and sample Ponzi wines as you visit each state of production, during the tour. Tours are offered to the public (maximum 12 guests) daily at 11 a.m., and a 1 p.m. Monday through Thursday. Founded in 1970 by the Ponzi family, Ponzi Vineyards is internationally acclaimed for producing some of the world’s finest, limited production Pinot Noir, Pinot Gris, Chardonnay, Pinot Blanc, White Riesling, Arneis and Dolcetto.

Lunch at La Industria
Located in the city of Tualatin, La Industria brings Tex Mex flavor to the area with its expansive menu of salads, tacos and specialties prepared with local ingredients and pair nicely with its selection of beers and cocktails.

Sample Wines of Tualatin Valley
Situated in the central Tualatin Valley are several world-class wineries. Visit one of all of these wineries for a taste of the valley.

Blizzard Wines: Blizzard Wines is a small-production winery, and has taken the next stop in its evolution by opening its own stunning tasting room during the last weekend of April 2017. Wine tasters can expect delicate Pinot Noirs that are made from the winery’s own estate, as well as big reds using grapes from Eastern Washington. The estate vineyard’s soil has glacial deposits that produce a unique Pinot and Chardonnay.
Oak Knoll: Visit one of Oregon’s pioneering wineries, Oak Knoll, which started producing fruit wines in 1970. Today, Oak Knoll produces a range of varietals, including Chardonnay, Pinot Noir, Riesling, Muller Thurgau, Syrah and its signature raspberry wine, Frambrosia.
Árdíri Winery and Vineyards: Árdíri, located in the heart of the beautiful Chehalem Mountains AVA, specializes in Willamette Valley and Napa Valley Pinot Noir and Pinot Gris. The winery sits on a beautiful East-facing slope with a view of Mt. Hood and the intervening hills. The open air facility with adjoining patio, fireplace, three fire pits, and a poured black cement tasting bar combine to create a “destination” winery where guests are encouraged to relax and enjoy a glass of wine.
Dion Vineyards: For more than 30 years three generations have grown premium Pinot Noir, Pinot Gris and Chardonnay in Dion’s 60-acre vineyard. Dion’s grapes are used by a variety of wineries throughout Oregon, as well as in its own estate wines.

Enjoy dinner in Hillsboro at Salam Restaurant
Salam is a casual restaurant serving Lebanese and Persian cuisine. Try a Middle Eastern pizza, kabobs or fetayer (stuffed pastry pie) or other delicacy.

DAY THREE

Breakfast at Longbottom Coffee & Tea
Longbottom Coffee & Tea is the Tualatin Valley’s premier organic roasting company. Longbottom sources and hot-air roasts high-quality specialty coffee from all over the world, and its organic roasting facility was one of the first coffee roasters in the United States to be certified organic, and is a testing site for the Independent Organic Inspectors Association. The breakfast menu features a variety of options—ranging from pastries to traditional breakfast—prepared with local ingredients.

Visit the Rice Northwest Museum of Rocks and Minerals
The Rice Northwest Museum of Rocks and Minerals houses a world-class collection recognized as the finest in the Pacific Northwest and one of the best in the nation. The museum showcases not only fine rocks and minerals, but also fossils, meteorites, lapidary art, and gemstones from both the Pacific Northwest and all around the world. The collection is housed in a 1950s ranch-style house constructed with flagstone, myrtlewood and other materials, which earned the house a place on the National Registry of Historic Places.

Take part in a saké tasting and tour at SakéOne
Join a public tour of the kura at SakéOne, the leading American owned and operated brewer of craft saké in America. Bottled under four distinct brands (Momokawa, Moonstone, G, and Peaceful River), SakéOne leads the fast-growing category with distinct styles, flavor infusions and a penchant for education and sharing their unique beverage. A visit to the SakéOne Kura (brewery) is an educational experience at all levels.

Enjoy dinner at Bites Restaurant
Located in the heart of downtown Forest Grove and just one block away from Pacific University, Bites offers surprising Asian fusion cuisine such as kimchi fries, nachos with shrimp tempura and udon carbonara. Bites is committed to using local ingredients, as well as serving beverages from their neighborhood breweries and wineries.

DAY FOUR

Have a thrilling adventure at Tree to Tree Adventure Park
Zip through the trees along “Woody’s Ziptastic Voyage,” a guided zip-line tour featuring six extreme zip lines (including one that is 1,280-feet long), a bridge and a 40-foot rappel. Tree to Tree Adventure Park—an aerial ropes course and guided zip-line park—is a “playground in the trees” and features an aerial adventure ropes course with six (6) courses of varying difficulty, racing zip lines, bungee jump and more.

Grab lunch and pick berries at Unger Farms
Before heading home, visit Unger Farms. This family-owned farm offers U-Pick strawberries (in season), U-Cut flowers, fresh produce, jams, salsa, jerky, bread mixes, kettle corn, gifts and much more. Be sure to check out the Berry Café for smoothies, shortcake, waffles, hot sandwiches and more.
