Zip, Sip & Explore
The Zip, Sip & Explore itinerary features samples of what the Tualatin Valley has to offer: Outdoor adventure, wine, beer and food.
DAY ONE
Start the morning with an adventure in the trees. Tree to Tree Adventure Park—an aerial ropes course and guided zip-line park—is a “playground in the trees.” The park features six self-guided aerial obstacle courses of varying difficulty, guided zip-line tour, racing zip lines, bungee jump and more. (Open March-November)
Follow your heart-pumping adventure with lunch in downtown Forest Grove at Bites Restaurant, and Asian-fusion with tasty bite-sized and entree-sized selections, or Kama’aina, specializing in Hawaiian comfort foods.
After lunch, enjoy a tour and tasting at SakéOne, the first American owned-and-operated, large-scale craft-saké producer, which celebrated its 30th anniversary in 2022. A tour of the kura (reservations required) provides a bird’s-eye view of how saké is made. Afterward, sip an impressive flight of saké from a variety of their labels, including “G,” “Moonstone,” and “Momokawa.”
After sampling saké, explore the trails of Fernhill Wetlands. The main trail is an unpaved, 1.1-mile loop around wetlands, Fernhill Lake and a water garden. Designed by international landscape architect Hoichi Kurisu, the peaceful water garden features arched bridges and garden areas for beauty and solace.
Check into the new Aloft Hillsboro-Beaverton, a stunning, 137-room property located in Hillsboro, featuring many of the modern services and amenities for which the Aloft brand is known. This hip new hotel also has live music, an indoor pool, gym, on-site bar, free high-speed Wi-Fi and free parking. Additional lodging in Hillsboro >>>

DAY TWO
Your second day of adventure starts with another adrenaline-inducing zip line tour at Pumpkin Ridge Zip Tour. Zip lining is a seemingly daunting activity. Rest assured, the crew at Pumpkin Ridge are here to show you that almost anyone can conquer the lines fastened between the beautiful trees. (Closed during Phase 1)
