5 Things to do Near Bridgeport Village

Bridgeport Village itself is an outdoor shopping center located in Tigard. It’s home to many popular stores, including local business as well as restaurants, a Regal movie theater and more. It’s just off I-5 and about 15 minutes south of Portland.

1. Explore Bridgeport Village

Bridgeport Village is an outdoor lifestyle center spanning 28.6 acres with nearly 500,000 square feet of retail, restaurant and theater space. Visitors can shop at upscale national and local retailers including Free People, Saks Fifth Avenue Off 5th, Madewell and Crate & Barrel. Dining options include a variety of sit down and casual eateries, such as Pastini Pastaria and Bunk Sandwiches. A first-run 18 screen IMAX theater and Barnes & Noble bookstore round out the shopping possibilities.

2. Walk the Tualatin River Greenway Trail

Enjoy walking or cycling the Greenway Trail that runs adjacent to the Tualatin River. The trail allows for nature lovers to stay in the present with the beauty around them while simultaneously learning about Tualatin Valley’s prehistoric past. The ¾ mile stretch incorporates interpretive elements along the trail including historical recaps and replicated footprints of ground sloths and mastodons imprinted in the pavement.

3. Play in the Water at Cook Park

Cook Park is conveniently located in the city of Tigard, on the banks of the Tualatin River. The 79-acre park has more than 2.5 miles of hard and soft-surface trails, a butterfly garden, river access, wetland areas, picnic tables, park shelters, playgrounds and restrooms. During the summer months, visitors can rent canoes, stand-up paddle boards and kayaks from the Tualatin Riverkeepers at Cook Park’s river access point. The current on the Tualatin River is not strong, which makes it easy to paddle in either direction.

4. Eat and Drink

Opened in 2016, Ancestry Brewing pours its family-crafted ales at its Tualatin taproom. Scottish Red, English Mild, Irish Red, and Russian Imperial Stout are just some of the handcrafted beers found at this brewery. Currently open for outdoor dining and takeout.

Hayden’s Lakefront Grill recently debuted an exciting renovation, with an updated dining room, new bar space and an expanded, covered patio. The restaurant is in the heart of Tualatin on the Lake of the Common and serves breakfast, lunch and dinner made with fresh ingredients from local vendors.

5. Explore the Tualatin Art Walk

The Tualatin ArtWalk  is a nearly six-mile walk through the heart of the city of Tualatin. Discover public art pieces, such as bronze sculptures, murals, mosaic drinking fountains and garden art along a series of interconnected trails. The walk includes multiple loops of varying distance, including the tiny Commons Loop at Tualatin’s Lake of the Commons (right next to The Century Hotel) and the 2.8 mile Park Loop, which includes Tualatin Community Park along the river and a spur to the Kia-a-Kuts Bridge.
